Dr. Kafel Azeez and L. Zain Alabdeen H. Obaid, researchers at the Renewable Energy Research Center – University of Anbar in cooperation. Publish a scientific article in scientific journal “Case Studies in Thermal Engineering” that has clarivate index Q1 with IF=6.8 titled:
" Investigating the experimental parameters of a rib triple pipe heat exchanger"
This scientific article the triple concentric-pipe heat exchanger was experimentally compared to its double concentric-pipe counterpart, with the aim of optimizing design parameters for counter and parallel flows. Temperatures, flow rates, and pressure drops were measured using chilled water in the inner pipe, hot water in the inner annulus, and tap water in the outer annulus. Various flow patterns were tested, revealing that the double concentric-pipe version was outperformed by the triple concentric-pipe heat exchanger in terms of heat exchange efficiency and energy consumption. Notably, an efficiency approximately 50% greater was achieved for both counter and parallel flows, with higher Nusselt numbers observed across various flow arrangements.
