Dr. Mushtaq Taleb Al-Nada, the esteemed President of University of Anbar, the Renewable Energy Research Center participated in the scientific symposium that was held in the Department of Civil Engineering and in cooperation with strategic studies Center at the University of Anbar under the title: -
((The sustainable city - a future engineering vision))
It was held on monday, corresponding to 31/10/2022, in the presence of the Director of the Renewable Energy Research Center, Assist. Prof. Dr. Wissam Hashim Khalil and the Dean of College of Engineering Prof. Dr. Amir Abdul Rahman Hilal and a number of engineers in the governorate and university departments who are specialists, professors and students of the department.
The symposium aims: To introduce the components of a sustainable city through planning the locations of those cities and infrastructure such as green buildings in addition to other factors such as sustainable transport, energy, water and the environment, and to highlight the possibility of establishing such cities in the future in Iraq.
The symposium session, chaired by Assistant Professor Dr. Wissam Hashem Khalil, and its rapporteur, Assistant Professor Dr. Hamid Aswad Muhammad, included the following topics: -
* Sustainable buildings and facilities.
* Strategies for sustainable urban development.
* Reducing the use of energy in the environment.
* Sustainable roads in cities.
During which valuable lectures were delivered by professors and researchers specialists from the College of Engineering and research centers at the University Presidency.
The session included extensive discussions in which views and visions were exchanged between the lecturers and participants in the symposium.
At the end of the session, the recommendations of the symposium were announced, after which certificates of appreciation were delivered to the lecturers and the scientific and preparatory committees for the symposium.
