The Renewable Energy Research Center at the University of Anbar Organizes Specialized Training Workshops for International Students as Part of the Arab Student Exchange Initiative

As part of the University of Anbar's efforts to enhance academic cooperation and exchange of expertise among Arab universities, the Renewable Energy Research Center organized a series of specialized training workshops targeting a group of Arab students participating in the Student Exchange Initiative between Arab Universities. This event reflects the university's commitment to supporting scientific research, knowledge transfer, and providing students with the opportunity to learn about the latest global technologies in various scientific fields.
The workshops opened with a welcoming speech by the Director of the Renewable Energy Research Center, Assistant Professor Dr. Ahmed Talat Hamoudi, who welcomed the student delegations and provided them with an overview of the center's role in developing renewable energy fields and serving the academic community. Dr. Ahmed then delivered a rich lecture on communications and fifth-generation (5G) technology, addressing the basic concepts of this technology, the developments witnessed in the communications sector, and its most important applications in education, industry, and smart cities. Following this, Assistant Lecturer Nizar Ismat presented a practical workshop on 3D printing, reviewing the principles of 3D printer operation, the types of materials used, and their growing role in rapid manufacturing, education, and healthcare.
Assistant Lecturer Qusay Hatem Issa, Head of the Measurement and Evaluation Unit at the University of Anbar Presidency, also delivered a specialized lecture on control and automation. He presented the latest automated control systems and their applications in industrial, research, and engineering projects, with a lively discussion of the importance of these systems in improving efficiency and productivity.
The program concluded with a lecture by Assistant Lecturer Othman Jassim Muhammad, who addressed the topic of solar energy and renewable energy sources. He explained the working mechanisms of solar energy systems, the latest innovations in this field, and their role in achieving sustainable development and reducing carbon emissions.
At the conclusion of the program, the international students expressed their gratitude to the University of Anbar and the Renewable Energy Research Center for their significant efforts in organizing these training workshops, appreciating the valuable knowledge and practical experience they had gained. They also emphasized that this experience enhanced their understanding of modern technologies and opened up new horizons for scientific cooperation between higher education institutions in the Arab world.
