Consultative meeting with the United Nations UNDP for the Development Program

The Honorable President of University of Anbar (Prof. Dr. Mushtaq Taleb Nada), accompanied by the Honorable Assistant President for Administrative Affairs (Prof. Dr. Atheer Anwar Sharif), visited the Renewable Energy Research Center on Monday, 7/6/2021, in continuation of the support given by the University to research centers.
The Center was honored by the presence of the President of the University, the consultative meeting with the United Nations UNDP for the Development Program in Anbar. The director of the Renewable Energy Research Center, Assistant Professor Dr. Wissam Hashim Khalil, opened his meeting with a welcoming speech by the President of the University and his respected administrative assistant, praising the great support that The Center received it from the University Presidency and welcomed Mr. Maan Al-Marie, Director of the UNDP Regional Office in Anbar.
The Director of the Center addressed the great support given by the President of the University to research centers in order to improve their scientific and research performance. The director of the center also referred to the previous and great support that was present by the United Nations Development Program in the year 2011, as the scientific and research equipment that were located in the Renewable Energy Research Center were equipped by the UNDP organization, and the organization has contributed to the training of the center’s staff in courses mission outside the country. The Director of the Center summarized the center's research and scientific achievements for the past period and how the performance of researchers at the Center is constantly escalating despite the challenges facing the world as a result of the Corona pandemic. Mr. Maen Al-Marei confirmed that the prospects for support and cooperation with the Renewable Energy Research Center will return again in order to compensate the center with the devices and equipment that were lost during the last operation occurred in Anbar Province.
At the end of the meeting, the Director of the Center briefed the Honorable President of the University and the representative of the United Nations Development Program on the project of hybrid interconnection of solar and wind energy that had been completed by the Center's staff.
