Anbar University offers development projects in cooperation with the United Nations through the Renewable Energy Research Center

In continuation of the approach followed by the University of Anbar, represented by the respected President of the University, Professor Dr. Mushtaq Talib Al-Nada, in enhancing cooperation with international organizations to expand the horizons of research cooperation, Assistant Lecturer Firas Fadhel Saleh, one of the lecturers at the Renewable Energy Research Center, attended the meeting organized by the University of Anbar with representatives of the United Nations Development Program on Wednesday, February 12, 2025, at the United Nations headquarters in Baghdad, where discussions were held on the implementation of six development projects in one of the villages affiliated with Haditha District in Anbar Governorate, which is affected by the repercussions of climate change. In the meeting, the team provided a comprehensive explanation of the objectives of the projects and the target groups, and questionnaire forms were presented that will be distributed to the beneficiaries in order to accurately assess their needs. The United Nations representatives praised the efforts made by the University of Anbar team, expressing their great appreciation for this initiative. These projects seek to improve the living conditions of the local population and enhance environmental sustainability in light of the climate challenges facing the region
