Renewable Energy Research Center joins a scientific visit to Ramadi Dam

A scientific visit was organized by Assistant Professor Dr. Rabah Nouri to the *Ramadi Dam* project with the aim of learning about the technical and engineering problems facing the project, especially with regard to the dam gate control system and the water level and water flow sensing mechanisms. The scientific delegation was warmly received by *Mr. Ramadi Dam Project Director*, who showed great interest in cooperating to identify the problems and search for sustainable solutions. Views were exchanged on the technical problems, and initial ideas were put forward for solutions that may contribute to raising the efficiency of the dam's operation. The need to update some existing systems and replace them with more advanced and modern systems was also emphasized. After the visit, it was agreed to prepare a comprehensive study to diagnose the problems and obstacles and develop a practical plan to address them. The study will also be submitted to the relevant authorities for approval and implementation. The scientific visit to the *Ramadi Dam* project was an important opportunity to learn about the challenges facing the project, and for cooperation between scientific and engineering bodies to find innovative solutions. We hope that the upcoming study will contribute to improving the efficiency of the dam and ensuring its continued performance of its vital role in regulating water and protecting agricultural lands.
