Design and Manufacturing of an Electric Spinning System for Nanofiber Production

Following the directives of the esteemed President of the University of Anbar, Prof. Mushtaq Talib Al-Nida, to promote collaboration among university faculties and establish research teams, Assistant Professor Dr. Rabah Nuri Farhan, a faculty member at the Renewable Energy Research Center, successfully led a dedicated research team. The team comprised the following academics:
1. Assoc. Prof. Yasri Mahmoud Hamadi - College of Science
2. Prof. Walid Nasar Jafal - College of Medicine
3. Mustafa Shihab Hamad - College of Science
Their collaborative efforts were focused on designing and manufacturing a computer-controlled electric spinning system for the production of nanofibers. This innovative system allows for the production of nanofibers with controlled diameters. The fibers were characterized using scanning electron microscopy, which confirmed their nanoscale properties. The potential applications of these nanofibers are diverse, ranging from tissue engineering, water filtration membranes, protective clothing, drug delivery systems, and more.
