Assist. L. Omer S. Shawki, a researcher at the Renewable Energy Research Center – University of Anbar in cooperation with researcher. Publish a scientific article in 1st Diyala international conference for pure and applied science titled:
"Effect of Fe2O3 upper layer on structural, morphological, and photoluminescence characteristics of TiO2 thin film prepared by chemical spray pyrolysis"
This scientific article improved titanium dioxide thin films using chemical spray pyrolysis. By adding an upper layer of iron oxide, the films showed enhanced structural and surface properties. X-ray diffraction confirmed a polycrystalline structure with a tetragonal phase. The addition of the upper iron layer increased the crystallite size from 16 to 36?nm. The films displayed homogeneous distribution and no irregularities on the surface. However, the thickness increased to 371?nm, resulting in a porous surface. Excitingly, the photoluminescence spectrum exhibited a Redshift, indicating a decrease in the energy gap from 3.38 to 3.25 eV.
